COVID-19 Updates

Re-opening/ May 2020 updates:

For everyone’s safety, we are limiting the number of appointments to avoid overlap of patients and making adjustments to the flow patients through the office. Please note we must take extra precautions to limit potential exposure to our office due to the nature of our onsite surgery center.

WE REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR PATIENTS:

  • We will call each patient the day prior to their scheduled appointment to complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire. Questions include health and travel history, contacts with potential infected individuals, etc. Once complete we will determine if you are cleared for your appointment.

    • If you have traveled by plane within 14 days of your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule.

  • All patients must bring their own mask and wear it for the duration of their visit.

  • We request that patients come unattended, when possible. Please do not bring friends or family members.

  • When you arrive for your appointment at your scheduled time, our front desk will take your temperature.

  • When your appointment is over, you will check out at the counter. We will allow one person at a time to check out.

Cleaning protocols:

Our staff is will be diligently and frequently cleaning all high touch surfaces using alcohol and Cavicide cleansers on all surfaces.

  • We will stagger appointments in order to allow time between appointments for the staff to disinfect all common surfaces and equipment.

  • We will disinfect all high touch surfaces such as door handles, counter-tops, and computer keyboards throughout the day.

  • Between patients, the examinations room will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with alcohol and Cavicide cleansers on all surfaces.

  • Our team will wear protective masks at all times for your protection as well as theirs.

We are excited to announce that West Magnolia Plastic Surgery will re-open our doors and return to normal business hours as of Monday, May 4, 2020.

In order to maintain the health and safety of our patients, we will continue to adhere to social distancing protocol, implementing thorough sanitation measures and utilizing gloves and masks for maximum protection. When you arrive for your appointment, we ask that you also adhere to these protocols by wearing a face mask. We ask when you are inside the office you keep a 6-foot distance between yourself and others at all times. We will do our best to maintain safe social distancing when scheduling patients but we may ask for you to wait in your car and call you when we are ready for you to come inside the office for your appointment. The front desk will give you instructions as needed.

Cosmetic Consultations:

Dr. McLaughlin will continue to offer video consultations for new cosmetic patients. Video consultation patients will still be required to be seen in person for measurements, photographs and sizing and final preparation prior to having surgery.

Cancelled/ Postponed Surgeries:

We have initiated the process of trying to reschedule surgeries that may have been cancelled or postponed during the mandatory closure of the office in compliance with CDC guidelines. If you have not received a call yet, we welcome you to reach out to our office directly. You may speak with our office manager, Ashley, to discuss current regulations on scheduling and how to proceed.

Non-surgical treatments/ Spa services/ Magnolia Members:

Dysport injection appointments will be available but required to wear a mask for the duration of the appointment. The Retreat Medical Spa is tentatively scheduled to re-open on May 18th. Please check back on our website or follow us on social media for more information.

We hope all of our patients, friends, family and staff are well as we all navigate through the COVID-19 circumstances.

Our office hours will be temporarily reduced to 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Monday – Thursday. Closed on Fridays. You can reach the office at 817-870-4833 or email us at emily@mclaughlinmd.com.

Cosmetic Consultations:

We understand you may have waited weeks or months for your consultation, and we thank you for your patience. Dr. McLaughlin will offer Zoom video consultations during this time if you choose to participate. We can also tentatively reschedule your appointment for the specified time frame when we plan to return. When normal office hours have resumed, we can reschedule you to come in for a pre-operative exam with Dr. McLaughlin including before photos, measurements, implant sizing, etc.

Scheduled Surgeries:

Elective surgeries cannot be performed at this time. We will continue to reach out to scheduled patients who currently have surgery scheduled to ensure you have been rescheduled. We understand if you need to reschedule your upcoming surgery and you will not be penalized for this.

Non-surgical treatments/ Spa services/ Magnolia Members:

Due to the social distancing and stay-at-home order in place, we must also reschedule all other treatments until further notice. When it is safe to resume treatments, we will reschedule our patients and do the best we can to avoid long wait times. Skincare products can be purchased through our website: mclaughlin.eshopmd.com. If you are enrolled in our Magnolia Membership program, you may receive a call regarding scheduled appointments and offerings. If have not received a call, you are welcome to contact the office once we have returned.
